Job Opportunities

PLEASE STATE WHICH POSITION YOU ARE APPLYING FOR, WHEN SENDING IN YOUR DETAILS - THANK YOU!

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Full time or Part Time

One of our vet nurses is off to travel the world!  Ideally we are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and full time RVN, who is a good all rounder and happy to take on a challenge of helping our Nursing Manager drive the practice forward.  We are a progressive practice, who now has big plans for our future, and would like a new RVN to be part of that.  Your views would be a valued contribution in shaping our practice.

We offer a competitive salary locally with fully funded CPD and a bonus scheme.  We believe that hard work should be rewarded.  Currently no OOH's but you would be expected to work one late shift per week till 8pm and be part of a 1:6 rota on Saturdays only.  Part time would be considered as long as able to work till 8pm and be part of the Saturday rota.

For an informal chat, please contact our Nursing Manager, Louisa Rodgers on 01626 354260 or to apply, please send you covering letter and CV to Deana Schneidau, Practice Manager on deana@kvg.uk.com

Vet Students

We frequently have students with us during vacations and welcome applications from student vets and nurses. To stand the best chance of getting a placement please give us plenty of notice. Unfortunately we are unable to provide accommodation for students.

Please send applications to emma@kvg.uk.com with the dates you are looking for.

Do you want to work with animals?

Lots of people want to be a vet or a vet nurse but it isn’t always easy to get into vet school, or get placements at nurse training practices.

We want to support future vets and vet nurses, so we work with local schools and colleges to ensure young people are better placed for the world of work (with the necessary skills and motivation) and that students of veterinary science are given the opportunity to fully understand the day-to-day aspects of their chosen career.

We accept applications from people looking to undertake work experience who are in full-time education and are applying via an approved scheme.

  • For school work experience the application for the placement must come via the school and not from the individual.
  • If you are looking for experience at weekends or school holidays please write to us with the dates you are looking for.

We are always keen to provide the opportunity to those who desire to gain experience in a veterinary practice, but as you can understand we are often over-subscribed, especially during the summer term and vacations. Many thanks for your understanding.
